Georgia Beaty (she/her/hers) was born and raised on this coast, on the unceded territories of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and səl̓ilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh).
Georgia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia, and comes to WCEL with 10 years’ experience working with non-profit organizations, primarily in the performing arts sector. Most recently, she has worked in development and outreach roles with The Vancouver East Cultural Centre (The Cultch), and Green Thumb Theatre.
She is passionate about working to create more just and sustainable livelihoods for future generations and looks forward to working with community members in supporting WCEL’s collaborative work to safeguard the environment.
When not working, she can be found attending performances, spending time with her nephews, and making collages.
