Hanna (she/her/hers) is the Communications and Engagement Specialist at West Coast Environmental Law. As a 1.5-generation immigrant and settler, Hanna is grateful to live on traditional, ancestral, and unceded Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and səl̓ilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) homelands.
Hanna holds a BA Communications and Print & Digital Publishing degree from Simon Fraser University. Her past experiences include work with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, Fraser Basin Council, Apathy is Boring, Media Democracy Days, and SFU Centre for Dialogue. Hanna is passionate about intersectional environmentalism and uplifting marginalized voices within justice-based movements; she sees environmental and climate action as opportunities to mend our relationship with nature and with each other. At West Coast, she is excited to channel her creativity and engagement skills for good, and empower people to build the confidence and abilities needed to protect the planet.
Outside of work, Hanna organizes for migrant rights and enjoys reading, zine-making, and staring into tidepools.
